Who is Hashtag59?
Hashtag59 was co-founded by Mike R & Amy K but we have a community of hikers, backpackers, nomads, yogi’s, surfers, climbers, road trippers, plant nuts, and lovers of all things outdoors that have shared their outdoor adventure and travel stories with you. You can find over 325 articles and 137 podcast episodes in our libraries on this website!

Our founders are available for hire as freelance writers/content creators, and we love giving our community an authentic look at our adventures and life experiences.

What does Hashtag59 mean?
Hashtag59 got its name from the fact that there were 59 National Parks in the United States (there are 63 now but we aren’t changing our name!) when we created it. It was in homage to the beautiful areas of land Mike & Amy have loved experiencing since childhood and that were taken care of by the Indigenous People, and rightful owners, of what we now call the USA for thousands of years.

Hashtag59 yearns to share stories and ideas for all outdoor adventurers and all those that want to be. Thanks for the interest in Hashtag59, stick around for the adventures we’d love to have ya!
